CycleBar Brunch Menu

Last Saturday was so FUN! I love to spin at CycleBar, the cycle star instructors, the atmosphere, the heart-pumping rides and the amenities keep me coming back. Everyone who works there is so kind and genuine you immediately feel welcomed into the studio.

Cyclebar also does a great job with their theme rides, Wine Down Wednesdays, Giveaways and Saturday Brunch (just to name a few). So I reached out to see if I could cater brunch and without hesitation they said YES! EEK!

I immediately started planning the menu. I needed it to be easy to eat, could be eaten at room temperature and healthy, because after you sweat your bum off you need some nutrients to refuel. I also wanted to create something gluten free, protein rich and vegetarian.
Below is the menu I developed.

Protein Energy Bites

These little guys are full of protein, good fats and a little sweet too. Main ingredients are peanut butter, flax meal, honey and oats.

Fruit Skewers

Super simple to make but adds color and freshness to your presentation and taste buds.

For this event I kept with the mini-size and only used 3 pieces of fruit and a little mint. To add another layer of flavor, I dunked the skewer in my fruit salad dressing/marinade, just before serving. You can find that recipe here.

Mini Egg Muffins

I made two versions, one with turkey bacon and one with only veggies.

The best part was seeing the friendly faces of some of my friends. I’m pretty shy abut putting myself out there but their love and support got me thru it.

I had so much fun and I really think everyone enjoyed the food. I had several people ask me about catering, take my business cards and even ask to take food home to share with family. It’s kinda scary being vulnerable but with a huge sigh of relief I will confidently say, I did it!

Welcome to my kitchen!

Hello, my name is Krista, but my friends call me Tata or Kiki. Welcome to my food blog! I like to cook (and occasionally bake) foods that aren’t complicated but not boring either. I don’t always get it right but I’ll never hide the fails.
