Ingredients

- 1 loaf fresh Challah bread
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 cup whole milk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 pats of butter
For Serving
- warm maple syrup
- powder sugar
- butter
- fresh fruit
Instructions
- Slice bread 1.5″ thick
- In a shallow container, like a pie plate, combine the eggs, milk, vanilla, honey, cinnamon and nutmeg. Whisk well until everything is combined.
- In a medium skillet, melt one pat of butter. Dip both sides of the bread in the egg mixture then cook the slices until golden brown on both sides.
- Serve with warm syrup and a side of fresh fruit. Garnish with powdered sugar if desired.
