Gambas ala Ajillo which basically translates to garlic shrimp is a standard at any restaurant in Spain. I understand why because it’s so dang delicious, and they set it on fire and who doesn’t like a little flair!Read More
The Pandan Leaf Chicken is a common Thai appetizer but one I had never heard of before. When my husband and I were in Thailand learning this recipe it put a huge smile on my face, it was the perfect dish to kick off our culinary adventure.
I know this one looks unique and requires a special trip to the Asian market, but I promise you, this dish will not disappoint. The flavors are out of this world. The aroma from the pandan leaf is infused into the chicken along with the marinade and it creates this perfect umami of flavors in your mouth!
I love to entertain and I’ve been known to spur of the moment, last minute invite people over without giving much thought to what I’m going to serve or if I even have time to run to the grocery.
So I keep these handy-dandy recipes close by for just such occasions!
Why eat potato when you can have Zucchini Skins!
I love it when my husband says ‘What are you making now?’ Then he proceeds to eat it all and ask me to make it again and finishes his thought by adding a ‘hua, that was actually really good.’😜
I’ve been working on a few healthy, Keto friendly recipes for an upcoming cooking class. I think these Zucchini Skins with cheese, bacon and sour cream will make the cutRead More
I pulled this one out of the vault. I started making this dip maybe 10 years ago, I had kind of forgotten about it until a friend asked me for the recipe last week. It got me thinking, you know, that was a really popular dessert dip. So I carved a little pumpkin as a serving dish and whipped up a batch.Read More
This is the most simple recipe, so easy but so tasty. There's something about mixing fruits and vegetables together that just works. I guess it's like a chocolate covered pretzel...sweet and salty, it's a time when all the taste buds get to participate!Read More

My main course came together quick and easy today which allowed me to whip up these cutie-patuie rose tarts.
I love a fancy food that's not at all difficult to make and these pretty little appetizers/side/starters fit the bill. They take no time at all and only require 4 ingredients.
Can you tell I’m on a ‘fruit salad’ kick!
If ever there was a fruit that said summertime it would be a tie between watermelon and backyard vine ripe tomatoes! I simply can not get enough of either this year.Read More
Quick, minimal ingredients, very few dishes to wash this savory flavorful appetizer could easily become a go-to party favorite. I made about 25 parcels for Easter Brunch and I'm pretty sure they were gone as soon as they hit the table.Read More
I know what you might be thinking... Celery has a root and you can cook with it, and it's good? Who knew, right? I didn't. I don't even like celery, I can't stand it. And I don't really care for bacon either but somehow, someway this becomes a soup I thoroughly enjoy. This is why I will eat anything once. I sincerely have FOMO when it comes to food. I can't bare the thought that I might miss something spectacular.Read More
What a fun appetizer this is! Mike, my husband, and I went to Spain in 2016 and ate our way from Barcelona to Marbella, to Seville and Madrid. Olives, olives and more olives, I love them so I was in heaven...Read More
Pots and Pans: NONE. All you need is a cutting board, a knife, and a small round pastry cutter (if you don't have one, simply use a knife and cut squares/rectangles).
You will be amazed at how fast these little bite-sized sandwiches fly off the table.Read More
